Uniqlo to open 1st store in Russia in April

Fast Retailing Co, the operator of the Uniqlo casual wear chain, will open its first Uniqlo store in Russia on April 2 in downtown Moscow.

The new store, with a floor space of about 1,200 square meters, will offer a new collection by internationally renowned luxury fashion designer Jil Sander under the ‘’+J’’ brand in addition to Uniqlo’s traditionally strong products such as cashmere sweaters, it said. Fast Retailing has been aggressively tapping into foreign markets and had 125 overseas stores as of the end of February, including in Paris, London and New York.
